The unemployment numbers have dipped in our area.
According to the Job Center of Wisconsin, the non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Manitowoc County came in at 2.5% in November, which is down 3 points from October’s rate, but even with last November.
In the City of Manitowoc, there was a similar trend. 2.6% of the population in the Clipper City is unemployed, compared to 2.9 in October and 2.8% last November.
For comparison, Sheboygan County’s unemployment rate was reported to be 2.3% last month, while the city of Sheboygan was at 2.5 %.
Meanwhile, Brown County came in at 2.4%, and Green Bay at 2.5%.
The state numbers look similar, albeit slightly higher. Last month, 2.7% of Wisconsinites were unemployed, down from 3% in October but up from last November’s rate of 2.5%.
