An industrial worker in Green Bay had to be taken to a local hospital due to a fire over the weekend.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department was called to an unspecified business on Liberty Street at around 6:30 Friday evening on a report of a fire.
Crews were directed to a conveyor system that was engulfed in flames.
The blaze was under control within about 30 minutes, but not before an employee was injured.
That unnamed individual was taken to a local hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation.
No other injuries were reported.
The fire’s cause is unknown, but we know it caused an estimated $10,000 in damage.
