An Appleton woman who stole from car washes around Manitowoc has been sentenced.
27-year-old Haley Nicole Romero was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on two counts of Burglary to a Building or Dwelling as Party to the Crime and was ordered by Judge Robert Dewayne to spend a total of six years in prison and ten years on extended supervision.
Additional charges of Felony Bail Jumping, two counts of Criminal Damage to Property, one felony, one misdemeanor, and two counts of Theft of Movable Property, also one felony and one misdemeanor, were dismissed but read into the record.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department arrested Romero after she and Javier Romero were believed to have been burglarizing car washes around the city and staying at different hotels in the area.
She has also been ordered to pay restitution totaling over $28,000 to Mishicot Pro Car Wash and Rural Mutual Insurance.
