The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has extended free telehealth services for COVID-19 treatment until April 10 of next year.
The decision takes into account the anticipated rise in COVID cases.
Introduced in November of last year, the service has conducted over 6,000 consultations, with nearly half of the patients being age 60 and older.
After the expiration of free COVID telehealth resources, individuals without insurance will still have access to free or low-cost health clinics.
