The man convicted in a 2018 drunk driving crash that killed one person and injured another in Calumet County was back in court.
Codi Miller appealed the ruling that he was guilty on seven charges, including Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle and Operating While Revoked.
The crash resulted in the death of a passenger in his car and severe injuries to a child on a bike, who is said to be facing a lifetime of medical issues.
Miller claimed that the prosecution made a mistake regarding his blood alcohol content, but since he could not prove the numbers were incorrect, his conviction was upheld.
He remains in the New Lisbon Correctional Institution in Juneau County as he serves a 14-year prison term.
