Scoring was at a premium last night at Lancer Circle, but the Manitowoc Lutheran girls were able to secure a 41-23 win over a visiting Howards Grove squad in a Big East North Conference matchup.
The Lancers led 26-14 at the break, but the rim appeared to get smaller for all shooters, as the shots weren’t dropping as frequently.
Two big reasons for the Lancer win were their rebound game, and their ability to take the ball away from the Tigers.
No shooters were able to break the double-digit benchmark, with Lutheran being led by Marissa Melhorn’s 8 in a balanced attack.
The Lancers improved to 4-2 on the season and 2-1 in the Bogh East North.
Up next for Lutheran is a home contest on Friday as they host Ozaukee, who are 2-6 on the season.
