The Manitowoc Fire Department reminds people to be safe during the holiday season.
The department had to knock down a structure after it caught fire on Monday (December 11th).
Firefighters stayed on the scene for a while to help the family and to investigate the scene.
No one was injured.
It’s not known where the fire happened or what caused it to start.
The fire department says it’s important to follow all manufacturer’s guidelines and clearance to combustibles for heating appliances, lighting, and decorations.
Remember to water your tree and be aware of the increased fire load a dry, real tree adds to your home.
Manitowoc Firefighters got help from Two Rivers and Silver Creek Fire, Valders Ambulance, Rockwood Fire, and the Salvation Army.
