Governor Evers has pledged to veto any proposal aimed at dismantling the state’s Elections Commission.
Speaking on UPFRONT on Milwaukee TV, Evers rejected the Republican plan to shift the Commission’s powers to the secretary of state, emphasizing the effectiveness of the current system and its leadership.
Republicans’ dissatisfaction with the Elections Commission has persisted since the 2020 election, with ongoing attempts to remove the Commission’s administrator for the past three years.
