It was a back-and-forth contest at Roncalli High School last night, but in the end, Valders dispatched the Jets 52-43.
Roncalli actually held the lead in the first half, 15-12, but the Vikings went on a 10-0 run to pull ahead and led 26-19 at the half.
Roncalli would battle back but could not quite complete the comeback. Valders used clutch free throw shooting down the stretch to keep the Jets’ attack at bay.
The Vikings were led by Zoey Siders, who had a game-high 16 points, while Megan Hochammer added 13.
Roncalli’s Isabella Jacky had a double-double on the night, 12 points, and 12 rebounds, while Emerson Risch netted 10 points.
Valders, who have now won five in a row after an 0-2 start, are off until next Tuesday (December 12th) when they host Kiel.
Roncalli falls to 3-3 and will travel to Brillion next Tuesday.
