
A renewed effort is underway at the Wisconsin Capitol to dissolve the state’s Elections Commission.
Senate Elections Committee Chairman Dan Knodl and ten Assembly Republicans are advocating for the elimination of the Elections Commission, proposing a transfer of election administration powers to the Secretary of State.
While some Republicans express the need for further details before committing to the idea, Governor Evers’ office has made it clear that any attempt to eliminate the Elections Commission will be met with a veto.
