
Three Manitowoc teenagers are facing charges after they attempted to rob a gas station with fake guns.
According to Lieutenant Cooper Schmidt with the Manitowoc Police Department, Officers were dispatched to Popp’s University BP, located in the 2700 block of South 10th Street, at around 1:15 Monday afternoon on a report of a robbery in progress.
The suspects fled as police arrived, but one of them was caught when he was seen in a vehicle believed to have been used as a getaway.
The 16-year-old driver was detained, leading to the arrest of two more suspects at Lincoln High School.
Those suspects were 14 and 15 years old.
The facsimile firearms used in the robbery and the stolen goods were all recovered, and the suspects were transferred to the Sheboygan Juvenile Detention Center.
All three are facing charges of Armed Robbery as Party to the Crime.
