Melissa Tempel, a teacher at Waukesha’s Rainbowland, is continuing her legal battle against the Waukesha school district after being terminated for violating the district’s zero-politics rule.
Tempel, who sought to have her first-grade class perform Rainbowland at a school concert, faced dismissal as the superintendent deemed it inappropriate.
Waukesha Schools have requested a judge to dismiss Tempel’s free speech lawsuit, while Tempel is countering with a request to dismiss Waukesha’s motion for dismissal.
