A Lakeshore rivalry had its latest chapter written last night as the Roncalli Girls Basketball team took on Two Rivers.
The Jets invaded the Raiders gym and came out with a 53-32 victory.
The visitors started off hot, jumping out to a 21-3 lead, and while the Raiders would pull within 10, that’s as close as the game ever was.
Roncalli Junior Lauren Stangel led all scores with 23 while Emerson Risch and Isabella Jacky each tagged on 10.
The Raiders were led by Vayda Sonnenburg, with the Junior accounting for 9 of her team’s points.
The win is Roncalli’s first of the year as they get ready to host Kiel on Friday in a game that will be aired on 107.9 FM WOMT and WOMTRadio.com.
Two Rivers has yet to pick up a win, but will also have a chance on Friday as they travel to Valders in a game that will be aired on 97.1 FM WCUB and CubRadio.com.
