
A Manitowoc non-profit is among the list of five organizations to receive a grant from the DATCP.
Grow It Forward is getting a portion of $473,000 in Buy Local, Buy Wisconsin grants, which are designed to help strengthen Wisconsin’s agriculture and food industries.
Grow it Forward will be using their portion of the money on a project to increase local food sales of Wisconsin products and increase direct sales of their own products.
Also being named a recipient is Fromage Spa in Green Bay, which will be using the funds to create a retail website to sell newly branded Lov-It cheese products.
Dream Apple Farm LLC in Mequon, Fitchburg’s Orchard Inc., and Mayberry Farms LLC also were named recipients of the BLBW grant.
Since the Buy Local, Buy Wisconsin program began in 2008, there have been 117 projects funded, totaling more than $2.977 million.
