The Green Bay teen who is accused of killing another teen in a high-speed crash will remain in adult court.
That ruling came from Judge John Zakowski in Brown County Court Tuesday after the defense requested the case be moved to juvenile court.
In total, 16-year-old Sienna Pecore is facing charges of 1st Degree Reckless Homicide, Hit and Run Involving Death, Taking and Driving a Vehicle without Consent, and two counts of 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
Pecore’s defense team argued that she would not receive adequate treatment in the criminal justice system and that the juvenile system would have a higher likelihood of rehabilitation.
She was arrested last year after she crashed her car on West Mason Street while driving at speeds of over 100 miles per hour.
The crash took the life of 17-year-old Cruz Beltran. Pecore is due back in court at 10:30 this morning for a status hearing.
