A 31-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly trashed an interrogation room at the Manitowoc Police Department.
An officer ran the license plate of a vehicle traveling on Franklin Street just before 11:00 Monday night (November 27th), and learned the vehicle had several unpaid parking tickets on file.
The officer pulled over the vehicle and learned the male driver had no license on file.
He was detained for Operating Without a License and was taken to the Manitowoc Police Department.
He was placed in an interrogation room without handcuffs, but when the officer closed the door, he reported hearing a loud crash from inside the room.
When the officer went back in, he saw that the man had flipped the table, damaging it in the process.
The man was re-handcuffed and taken to jail on charges of Criminal Damage to Property, Obstructing, and Felony Bail Jumping.
