For the first time in nearly a year, most of the gas prices in Eastern Wisconsin are below the $3.00 mark.
According to the AAA Gas Prices webpage, Manitowoc County’s average price per gallon has dipped two cents since this time last week to an average of $2.99, a price not seen since the last week of December last year.
Meanwhile, Sheboygan County is reporting a drop of seven cents to $2.98, and Calumet County’s average is down nine cents to $2.95.
Outagamie County saw a three-cent fall to $2.91 while Brown and Kewaunee Counties each reported single penny declines to $2.97 and $3.02 respectively.
Door County continues to have the most expensive fuel in the area while still dropping seven cents.
Motorists there pay an average of $3.09 per gallon.
The state average followed a similar trend, dropping six cents to $2.94 while the national average is down a nickel to $3.24.
