
Oshkosh Defense, which has been supplying the military with vehicles and other items for years, has received another government contract.
According to the company, this latest contract is worth $342 million and involves the production of the Medium Equipment Trailer.
This piece of equipment is a six-axle flatbed trailer and is designed to be pulled by the Oshkosh Enhanced Heavy Equipment Transporter M1300 Tractor.
Pat Williams, Chief Programs Officer for Oshkosh Defense, stated in a news release, “These trailers, paired with the Oshkosh EHET, are vital to surviving the rigors of modern combat and addressing the challenges of contested logistics.”
Oshkosh Defense will deliver the first trailers in May 2024 to support Product Qualification Testing and Operational Testing.
