
In Mequon, a school board member, Paul Buzzell, has been cleared of felony charges related to taking a ballot selfie last year.
The judge in Ozaukee County dismissed the case, asserting that the state’s election law, prohibiting the photographing of filled-out ballots, infringes on Buzzell’s constitutional right to free speech.
The district attorney in Ozaukee County has called on the Wisconsin attorney general to review the judge’s decision and potentially intervene.
