
Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in a weekend crash in Outagamie County.
According to the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department, a 44-year-old Appleton man was traveling east on Highway 15 east of River Road Saturday evening when he was hit by another vehicle being driven by a 45-year-old Appleton man.
The second man’s car ended up overturning and caught fire as crews arrived.
The first man was treated at the scene while the second man was taken to a local hospital, where he is said to be in stable condition.
Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash, although no additional information has been released.
The highway was closed for around two hours as crews investigated the crash and conducted cleanup operations.
