Three young wrestlers from Two Rivers High School finished at or near the top of the podium Saturday night at the WIAA State Individual Wrestling championships. Freshman Matt Bianchi became another State champion for the Raiders after he defeated Colby McHugh of Freedom 7-to-1 to capture the 1-hundred-13-pound title in division-2. Matt’s brother Joey and Cody Holmes both came away with runner-up medals at the Kohl Center. Holmes, a state champ at a lower weight last year as a freshman…was edged 4-3 by Isaac Weigel of Belmont Platteville in the 120-finals. And Joey Bianchi lost a close decision for the 3rd straight year at 126 To Luxemburg-Casco’s Bryce Bosman. Meanwhile, two Reedsville wrestlers returned home with State medals after Landen Kasper & Brandon Stelzer both placed 6th in division-3 at their 126 & 152 weight classes.
