Legal representatives for the teenager accused of the assault, rape, and murder of 10-year-old Lily Peters are presenting over two dozen arguments supporting their plea for the case to be tried in juvenile court.
Recent court documents reveal that the defense believes a trial in juvenile court and subsequent detention would better serve the interests of the 14-year-old suspect.
The decision on whether the case will be heard in juvenile or adult court is expected before January.
