Dollar General is facing financial penalties yet again for overcharging customers.
Wisconsin’s Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection announced yesterday that the company has agreed to pay $800,000 to customers across the state.
Following an investigation of 238 Dollar General stores in January and February, authorities found that numerous transactions reflected prices higher than those advertised.
On average, Dollar General was found to charge 17 percent more than the displayed prices.
This is not the first time the company has faced such allegations, as it previously paid over $10,000 to customers in 2018 following a similar complaint.
