Wisconsin is witnessing an increase in underage tobacco and vape sales, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Sales to minors rose from 11.9% in 2022 to 13.6% this year, marking an average increase of 140% since 2019.
The DHS highlights the serious consequences of tobacco use, including nearly 8,000 deaths, three billion in healthcare expenses, and over $5.5 billion in lost economic productivity annually.
