The Manitowoc Sunrise Rotary continued its tradition of honoring veterans this week with a breakfast at Felician Village.
The Veterans Day Breakfast was actually held on Tuesday with 65 veterans, family members, and friends in attendance.
The local Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #731 presented the colors before retired Command Sergeant Major Ed Hansen spoke to the crowd.
He spoke of his long army career and recognized the four families of local veterans who died this past year, including 96-year-old Harold Kummer.

Ed Hansen
A native of Manitowoc, Hansen played a key role in turning the long-neglected Red Arrow Park into a beautiful and lasting memorial for the many Manitowoc veterans who served their country and gave their lives so that others could live in peace.
