An elementary school in Sheboygan was placed on lock down for a little over an hour earlier this week.
Students and staff at Jackson Elementary were ordered to lock their doors and initiate their lockdown procedures at around 11:40 Monday morning after police reported that they were searching for a suspect.
The individual had reportedly crashed his car in the area of Weeden Creek Road and South 12th Street after a pursuit.
The suspect then fled on foot, and it is not clear if he was caught.
According to an email sent out to parents, the lockdown was lifted just before 1:00 p.m.
