A new initiative at the Wisconsin Capitol aims to institute automatic audits of elections in the state.
State Representative Scott Allen has introduced legislation proposing that the Legislative Audit Bureau randomly investigate one city and one village from four different counties to ensure election integrity.
Allen argues that proactive auditing is a more effective solution than reacting to issues as they arise, particularly in the wake of the 2020 election, emphasizing the need for voter trust in Wisconsin’s electoral process.
