A wrong-way driver hit a Fond du Lac Couty Sheriff’s Deputy’s squad car early Sunday morning.
Dash camera footage of the incident (shown below) shows that several deputies were on the scene of a crash on Highway 151 which involved a motorcycle when they began receiving reports of a wrong-way driver in the area.
The vehicle was said to be traveling north in the southbound lanes near County Highway V, so after clearing the accident scene, the deputies began searching for the car.
One deputy quickly found the car and used his squad to block it, but instead of stopping, the driver bumped into the front end of the deputy’s vehicle.
The driver, whose name was not released, was arrested for OWI, Reckless Driving, Operating Without a Valid Driver’s License, and Driving on the Wrong Way on a Divided Highway.
