Prosecutors in Chippewa Falls are pressing charges against Brian Anderson, a 39-year-old man accused of attempting to engage in sexual activity with a 15-year-old.
According to the District Attorney’s office, Anderson initiated contact with an individual online, whom he believed to be a teenage girl, and solicited sex.
Anderson has claimed that he was the target of an extortion scheme designed to extract money from him.
Prosecutors assert that Anderson expressed willingness to engage in sexual activity with a minor during the online conversation.
He has been charged with the use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime.
