A Manitowoc organization is inviting veterans and the public to an annual banquet designed to honor local heroes.
John Jacobs from the United Veteran’s Council tells Seehafer News that the 62nd Annual Veteran’s Banquet is scheduled for Veterans Day, and will be held at City Limits, south of Manitowoc on Highway CR.
He also noted, “It just so happens that Veteran’s Day is also the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the Soldier and Sailor Memorial on 18th Street where the eternal flame is located.”
Cocktail hour will begin at 5:00 p.m., and the main course of beef tips and chicken will be served at 6:00.
Jacobs notes there is a special guest speaker scheduled to be on hand as well, John A. Scocos, the former Secretary for the Wisconsin Department of Veteran Affairs.
The meal will cost $25 per person, with reservations required.
To secure your plate, call Brian Svacina at 920-973-2349.
You can either send a check made out to Manitowoc County Veteran’s Banquet to PO Box 121, St. Nazianz, WI, 54232, or you can pay at the door.
