Sheboygan County residents came out in droves to ensure their unused medications were disposed of properly.
This past weekend, the Sheriff’s Department’s MEG Unit hosted a drug takeback day, where they encouraged residents to turn in unwanted and no longer needed medication to help ensure they wouldn’t get into the wrong hands.
It is being reported that over 1,400 pounds of medications were turned in Saturday, making the total collected over the two takeback days this year just shy of 3,000 pounds.
