Authorities investigating a shooting incident in Germantown have found no apparent connection between the victim and the middle school where the incident occurred.
According to the state’s Department of Justice, the individual, whose identity and origin remain undisclosed, was shot and killed by Germantown Police.
The incident unfolded when his out-of-state-plated vehicle broke down near the school.
The man reportedly attempted to gain access to Kennedy Middle School, but the doors were locked.
As officers arrived, he was in the process of removing handicapped parking signs.
Subsequently, he climbed onto the school’s roof, opened fire at the police, and was fatally shot.
