An Oshkosh man has been sentenced in a child solicitation case.
52-year-old Scott Meyer was ordered to spend 10 years in federal prison after he attempted to meet up with a child for sex on two occasions.
The first happened in Shawano County, and two months after being released from prison, he began contacting an undercover officer posing as a 15-year-old girl.
Meyer requested sexually explicit photos from the person he believed was a teenager and encouraged her to leave her home.
He was arrested in July 2021 after he made a plan to take the girl to his home for sex.
After his release from prison, Meyer will be placed on supervised release for the remainder of his life.
