Once again, the price for a home in Manitowoc County has gone up, resulting in fewer sales.
According to statistics released by the Wisconsin Realtors Association, the average price for a home in Manitowoc County in September came in at $195,000, which is 8.3% higher than last September’s average of $180,000, and $4,000 more than the month prior.
Additionally, the number of sales dropped significantly over the past year, with 71 homes sold last month compared to 115 last September.
That number is also down from August’s sales total of 74.
The statewide numbers are showing a similar, albeit less severe, trend.
The average price for a home in Wisconsin went up 9.3% to $295,000 last month compared to $270,000 last September.
However, the average price actually dropped $5,000 from August.
The number of sales fell 18.4% from last September, coming in at 6,205 last month compared to September 2022’s rate of 7,602.
Additionally, the number of sales declined by 684 compared to August.
