A judge has issued a restraining order preventing an individual who arrived at the Wisconsin Capitol armed with both a pistol and a rifle from reentering the statehouse.
Joshua Pleasnick entered a not-guilty plea yesterday for misdemeanor weapons charges stemming from his recent visit to the Capitol, where he had attempted to engage in conversation with Governor Evers.
Although Pleasnick’s lawyer refuted any intention of causing harm to the governor, the judge has nonetheless barred him from entering Capitol Square.
Furthermore, the judge ordered Pleasnick to maintain a distance of one thousand feet from Governor Evers and his family.
Pleasnick was released from detention yesterday on a signature bond.
