A Watertown man lost his life in an officer-involved shooting.
This incident occurred yesterday morning not far from the Luther Preparatory School.
According to state investigators, Watertown Police responded to a property damage call, during which the suspect attempted to flee and subsequently turned towards the officers with a gun in hand.
In response, at least one officer fired, resulting in the suspect’s death.
Although Luther Prep implemented a lockdown, no children sustained injuries.
The state’s Department of Criminal Investigations is currently examining the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
