An employee at the Walmart in Fond du Lac is recovering after being assaulted by three men from Michigan.
Officers were dispatched to the store on North Rolling Meadows Drive at around 7:45 Sunday evening on a report of a robbery.
It was learned that 24-year-old Jaylon K. Autry, 22-year-old Ricky L. Bell, and 24-year-old Antonio D. Butler entered the store and went directly to the electronics section.
They asked an employee to open a locked case to look at an iPad, which is when Bell and Autry reached in a grabbed some Apple Watches.
The employee attempted to close the case, but as they did, Butler grabbed the employee around the neck from behind.
The employee was eventually able to escape, but not before Butler also grabbed some of the watches.
In total, it is estimated that the men stole at least ten of the watches before fleeing the store.
They were later seen at a Watertown and Whitewater Walmart stores.
Officers with the Fond du Lac Police Department were sent to the Whitewater Walmart and apprehended the men.
Butler, Bell, and Autry have all been charged with Robbery With Use of Force, Felony Retail Theft, and Disorderly Conduct, while Butler is also facing a charge of Misdemeanor Battery.
