A Manitowoc man is facing charges after he allegedly concealed some stolen items in a backpack.
Officers with the Manitowoc Police Department were called to the Meijer store on South Rapids Road on Friday (October 13th) to investigate a theft.
The loss prevention team at the store recognized the 44-year-old man from previous theft instances.
They then watched him on camera place four packs of basketball and football trading cards, and two boxes of cologne into his backpack.
He then left the store without attempting to pay for the nearly $355 worth of items.
A charge of Retail Theft of Less Than $500 by Concealing Merchandise has been filed against the man, and he is currently listed as being in the Manitowoc County Jail.
