After a harrowing journey triggered by the outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas, approximately three dozen Catholics from the Kenosha area have finally made it back home to Chicago.
Their ordeal began as they were preparing to enter Jerusalem when hostilities erupted.
In response, they redirected their plans to Jordan, where they had to endure several days of waiting before securing a flight back to the United States.
Father Roman Stikel, representing St. Mary Catholic Church, shared that anxiety ran high among the group during this challenging time.
Nevertheless, the travelers are now relieved and grateful to have safely returned to the comfort of their homes.
