Legislators in the Wisconsin Capitol are poised to pass several proposed laws addressing transgender athletes and gender-affirming care.
The Wisconsin Assembly is set to vote on a proposal aimed at reserving high school girls’ sports exclusively for individuals assigned female at birth.
A similar plan is on the docket for UW schools.
Furthermore, an additional measure seeks to prohibit gender-affirming care for minors.
Democrats within the Wisconsin Capitol have already voiced their opposition to all three proposals, labeling them as anti-transgender.
Governor Evers has made his stance clear, expressing his intent to veto the legislation should it reach his desk.
