A librarian at the Mead Public Library in Sheboygan is being honored by PBS Wisconsin.
Alison Loewen is one of 14 early education professionals being praised as a part of the 2023 PBS KIDS Early Learning Champions program.
In a statement on its website, PBS Wisconsin explains that Loewen was selected for her deep commitment to fostering joyful, creative, and playful learning opportunities in library programming.
PBS Wisconsin Associate Director for Education Engagement, Jen Kobylecky expanded on that, noting that Loewen “exemplifies the kindness and compassion we see modeled in so many of the wonderful PBS KIDS shows. She’s an inspiration to our team and to other librarians across Wisconsin.”
Other honorees came from various other states, including Michigan and Minnesota.
