A Milwaukee pastor is recovering after police say he was shot several times during a carjacking early Monday morning.
The victim, identified as Assistant Pastor Kevin Simmons, endured injuries during the carjacking incident that unfolded around 2:40 a.m. on West Custer.
It was revealed that Simmons was operating as an Uber driver at the time of the attack.
In light of the severity of his injuries, Simmons underwent surgery throughout the day yesterday, and his family has reported that he remains unable to communicate verbally.
Milwaukee Police have refrained from disclosing any details regarding potential suspects involved in this case.
