The Manitowoc Public School District is hosting two meetings today, both in the Board Room in the District Offices.
The School Board will start with a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. in regard to the 2023-2024 budget.
After that hearing is over, the board will hold their regular meeting, where they will give the public time to voice their input.
Then, after going over the monthly financial and personnel reports, the Board will conduct a second reading of their revised policies on services of bilingual students/English learners, Title I services, programs for students with disabilities, and the use of seclusion of physical restraint with students.
Superintendent Jim Feil will then give updates on the math and reading benchmarks, before the board discusses numerous other proposed changes to the district policy.
The board will also enter a closed session to conduct the superintendent’s evaluation.
