An elderly man tragically lost his life in Kenosha County when he became trapped inside a grain silo.
The incident unfolded in the town of Brighton at approximately 2:30 p.m.
According to authorities, the man was discovered buried beneath corn silage within the confines of the silo.
Upon receiving the distress call, the Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department swiftly dispatched first responders to the scene, who initiated immediate life-saving efforts.
Their attempts were ultimately unsuccessful.
The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office has taken charge of the situation, with emergency crews successfully recovering the man’s body.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding his untimely demise has been launched.
