
There are a total of five Manitowoc County governmental meetings scheduled for today (October 4th).
Starting off the day will be the Local Emergency Planning Committee, which will be (was) in the Communications and Technology Building at 9:00 this morning.
After the public was given time to comment, the group will vote to designate the State of Wisconsin as the 2024 Compliance Officer and to Approve the 2023 Facility Plan Updates.
Then, starting at 5:30 p.m., three Expo-Ice Center Board subcommittees will hold half-hour meetings in the Expo Office, culminating in a full board meeting at 7:00 p.m.
The Finance Sub-Committee is up first and will discuss indoor vendor fees for the 2024 Manitowoc County Fair.
They will be followed by the Marketing and Advertising Sub-Committee which will discuss the theme and colors of next year’s fair.
Up next is the Operations Sub-Committee which will discuss the rules for indoor vendors as well as the contests and exhibits for the fair.
Finally, the full board will meet to further discuss these and other items related to the 2024 county fair.
