Two local semi-pro football teams squared off Sunday at the home of the Minnesota Vikings.
The matchup between the Manitowoc County Mariners and the Sheboygan County SaberCats was a part of the 2023 Pigskin Classic held by the Southern Plains Football League.
The Mariners picked up the win 6-0, with the only points being scored on a five-yard run up the middle by Adrian Abeyta.
This was the first time the two local teams met on the gridiron, and it turned into a defensive battle, which was live-streamed on the SPFL Pigskin Classic Facebook page.
