The former Appleton police officer accused of forging signatures on warrants has pleaded not guilty.
37-year-old Jeremy Haney was released on a $2,500 signature bond after being arrested late last month.
While he was a part of a drug case with the Lake Winnebago MEG Unit, the investigators were granted a legal warrant to install a GPS tracker onto a suspect’s car, but after a review, the document was altered by Hanley.
He allegedly doubled the length of time the device could be used.
Hanley now faces charges of Forgery, Misconduct in Office, and Obstructing an Officer.
