A crash yesterday in Green Bay left the car mangled and upside down, and the driver in the hospital.
The Green Bay Police Department reports that officers were dispatched to the area of 9th Street and South Norwood Avenue at around noon Monday on a report of a crash.
When they arrived, they found the vehicle on its roof, and the 44-year-old male driver needing serious medical attention.
It was determined that the driver, who was said to be driving at a high rate of speed prior to the crash, was driving on 9th Street when he struck an SUV, careened into a residential law, hit a utility pole, and flipped while debris damaged a third vehicle.
The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries, while detours were placed around the crash site for an investigation and clean up.
The investigation is ongoing.
