
A Sheboygan Falls man died over the weekend while on Lake Michigan.
According to Lieutenant James Gottsacker of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, a yet unnamed 62-year-old man was on a boat on Lake Michigan on Labor Day just off the coast near Whistling Straits when he reportedly went into the water just after 3:00 p.m. and didn’t resurface.
A 57-year-old man who was also on the board was able to pull the victim to shore and began life-saving measures.
Numerous agencies arrived on the scene to administer aid, but the man did not survive.
More information is expected to be released this afternoon.
