A windsurfer was rescued by the Coast Guard over the weekend, after some ice on Lake Michigan wouldn’t allow him to return to the shore. At a little after 3:00 PM on Sunday, the Coast Guard Station in Sheboygan received a call reporting the unnamed surfer was in distress. A four man team was dispatched to save the man, who was around 150 yards from the shoreline. A member of the team dove into the water, and was able to reach the 35 year old Sheboygan man. The man was brought ashore, where he was assessed and released by on hand EMS personnel.
